Payment Providers and Sales Channels

The provider named in checkout is your seller for that transaction. MerginIT remains the product developer, licensor, and support contact.
Why a Merchant of Record appears on the receipt
For direct web purchases, MerginIT may use a Merchant of Record. That company acts as the seller or authorized reseller, takes payment, calculates and remits transaction taxes, issues the receipt or invoice, and handles transaction-level refunds, disputes, and payment support. MerginIT supplies the product, grants the product licence, operates product accounts or licence validation where applicable, and provides technical support.
| Channel | When it is used | Transaction relationship | Buyer information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lemon Squeezy | Direct web purchases of Dupe Zappa. | Merchant of Record and reseller; its name may appear on the statement. | Buyer Terms and Privacy Notice and Refund Help |
| Polar | Brand Peel and Markdownblog purchases. | Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. | Checkout Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy |
| Paddle | OCRMD purchases. | Authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. | Buyer Terms and Privacy Notice and Refund Policy |
| Microsoft Store | When a Windows app is purchased through Microsoft Store. | Microsoft handles the store purchase and entitlement. | Microsoft Store Terms of Sale |
Separate agreements
A checkout-provider agreement covers the sale and payment service. A MerginIT supplier agreement covers the product licence, account, features, permitted use, updates, and support. Both can apply to the same purchase. If they conflict, the provider terms govern the transaction service and the supplier terms govern product use, subject in every case to mandatory law.
Data exchanged
The provider processes checkout and payment details under its privacy notice. MerginIT normally receives the customer name and email, billing country, product and variant, order and customer identifiers, amount, currency, tax status, licence or subscription status, purchase time, and refund or dispute status. MerginIT does not receive or store full payment-card details.
Billing and support
Use the link in the receipt or provider buyer portal for invoices, tax questions, card charges, subscription management, or provider-processed refunds. For product delivery, licences, and technical problems, contact support@merginit.com. MerginIT can help identify the correct route if you include the product name, order reference, purchase email, and checkout provider.
